Mark Burr

       Mark M. Burr, 70, of Mason City formerly of Chicagoland passed away at his home on Monday, June 16, 2025. He was born on February 16, 1955 in Grand Rapids, MI to George and Betty (McFarland) Burr. On June 25, 2005 he married Christine Jacobs.
Mark is survived by 3 children: Tobie (Terri) Burr of Texas, Eric (Katrina) Of Illinois, Cristie (Mark) Llyod of Wisconsin and step-son Sean Cunningham of Missouri, 7 grandchildren, 3 sisters: Bonnie (George) Grantz, Peggy (Brian) Pearson and Martha Burr. He is preceded in death by his dad George and sister April.
Mark is a member of the Mason City Christian Church. He had a bachelor's degree from Ferris University in Michigan. He worked in the insurance industry. Mark enjoyed mowing the yard on his tractor, tinkering with the car, playing with his animals and surprising his wife.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Animal Welfare League a no kill shelter in Worth, Illinois. Online condolences can be left at www.hurleyfh.com.
